Hello – From The Land of Tulips and Hyacinths!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to this Easter weekend on Good Friday.

I know you’ve been hearing me talk about this trip for months. Well, it finally arrived and we are in Amsterdam this long weekend. The weather was supposed to be horrible, but all of a sudden that changed and it looks like the rain arrives on Monday – right as we are leaving!

We arrived at 8:15 this morning and went straight to our hotel. Our room wasn’t ready, so we took off sightseeing in Amsterdam and came back just in time for our 11:45am pick up to head out to Keukenhof to see the tulip, hyacinth and daffodil fields!

It was absolutely incredible with rows and rows of tulips, daffodils and hyacinths! Here are just a few pictures – I took 287!!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

And then, Lauren woke up! Once she realised we were in a massive open area for her to run and play… Off she went!

As we were walking toward the exit, I saw the opportunity for these photos!

There is lots more to tell from today’s fun at Kukenhof and the surrounding area, but I will save that for tomorrow! You see, I’m off to enjoy our room. We had the most pleasant surprise when we came back to the hotel… We had been upgraded to a Junior Suite! ๐Ÿ™‚

I will give you a clue for tomorrow… Lauren went for her first bike ride! ๐Ÿ™‚

Gorgeous!!! Beautiful Colors! It must be breathless to see it all and enjoy the bike ride also. How far could you take the bicycle? That had to be a great way to see the fields.

  3. Awesome…and you were worried you wouldn’t get some great photos. So glad you enjoyed it!!!!
