A Fun Snow Day!

That is exactly how today can be described!

We woke up and immediately all ran to the window. Naturally, we were curious… Was yesterday’s snow fall a dream, did it melt overnight or did even more snow fall? The answer – more snow fell!

This is what it looked like outside last night.

Can you believe more fell after this picture?!

Some friends called us around 10:15 as they were on the local High Street at the Starbucks to see if we wanted to play in the snow at a local park/garden area. We immediately threw on some warm clothes and headed out!

The walk to the park was quite slushy, but Lauren was VERY excited to make her way through the slushy snow/ice.

When we arrived at the park, there were many families out and about having fun! Here are some of our pictures. Of course, there were lots of snowball fights.

One family worked really hard on this… I don’t believe this is really a snowman, but kind of snow creatures?!

Afterwards, we headed toward Harry Morgan on the High Street to get warm with chicken matzo ball soup (and French Fries!).

The fun didn’t stop as our friends came over this afternoon! They had a gas smelling type leak at their house – everything is fine, but we had some more fun and watched the football (aka soccer) match on the telly.

Here is a picture our neighbor took last night of the girls and me!

I have a teenager who really hopes tomorrow will be a snow day… I think she is out of luck on that one! 🙂

Hope everyone has had a nice weekend!
